Message from Chairman

Singapore Hepatology Conference and Science of Hepatitis B Cure is Postponed to June 4-5, 2021

After consulting our sponsors, the Suntec Convention Centre, and our faculty we have concluded that it is now impossible to conduct the Singapore Hepatology Conference and Science of Hepatitis B Cure in June 5-6, 2020. Not only is the COVID-19 situation worsening but the travel restrictions for delegates and faculty and the recent announcement by Ministry of Health, Singapore that meetings of more than 250 persons are prohibited make it impractical for us to hold our meeting.

It is therefore with considerable regret that we will not be holding Singapore Hepatology Conference or Science of Hepatitis B Cure in 2020, and instead will look forward to seeing all of you on June 4-5, 2021.

In the interim, we plan to roll out weekly short educational updates soon that reflect some of the new advances since our last meeting. In the spirit of SHC and Science of HBV Cure, these will be short and sharp and help guide management of difficult cases of liver disease for practicing clinicians and some of the latest developments in the field of HBV cure.

We need however to revamp our website to host these new initiatives so we will keep you posted on new developments.

In the interim, please keep safe, avoid crowds, take care of personal hygiene until we meet again

With best wishes

Professor Seng Gee Lim
Chairman
